I am in fairly good shape, but am always looking for ways to supplement my workout and lose weight. I bought the Gaiam Pilates band kit expecting a pretty good pilates workout. When I tried it, it had a few yoga/stretching moves, a few pilates moves and a few strength with the band moves. After 50 minutes, I felt moderately stretched, but not worked out. At first I congratulated myself and thought I had advanced beyond the video, until I gave it to a much heavier, exercise novice coworker. She didn’t find it to be much of a challenge either. If you are looking for a real pilates mat workout, I suggest Winsor Pilates…but I’m always looking for other ideas.
