I havent checked out the DVD’s, but I didn’t buy it for that. Cost effective rather than buying each individual piece. If they weren’t so expensive, i would have bought an “eco-friendly” one though, as this has a distinct chemical smell that has only faded slightly after one week of use.

This is a good kit to get when you’re looking to buy yoga gear and want to save money. GAIAM specializes in yoga and other workout gear and they deliver quality products. The only thing I didn’t like was the dvd that is included. The instructor on the dvd is really boring. I would recommend buying other yoga dvd’s along with this kit.

I’ve always wanted to get into yoga and this kit made it so easy to start. I had never even seen a yoga class before but all I had to do was turn on the video and go through a workout to feel comfortable taking my next steps. I’ve gotten a lot of videos since purchasing this kit and I still like the one that comes with the kit. All the poses are clearly explained and the lines on the mat made it easier to follow along. Especially in the beginning, when I had no idea what to expect, the whole kit came together to give me a nice introduction to yoga. It’s always worth it to shop around for the best deal, but you have everything you need to get started in this one.

This is an excellent beginner’s kit for the money. My only complaint is that after almost a month it still has a strong plastic odor.

The mat, blocks, strap and video are all fantastic! Good for begginners and experienced since the video has two examples to follow. It jumpstarted me right back into my yoga practice. And the realignment exercise helped my posture in minutes. Get it!
